Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo11 lunar landing in Springwoods Village! Join us on July 20 and 21, 2019 for out of this world family-friendly fun and festivities.
Space-Themed Silent Disco
Dusk to 10:30 p.m.
Pick up a set of Silent Disco headphones and get your groove on with a space-themed Silent Disco party as we launch into the night. Three DJs will play space-themed music and fan favorites on separate channels, so come and dance the night away!
Can’t see the stars in the city? Join us the astronomers with the Houston Astronomers Society in the light pollution-free Springwoods Village Nature Preserve to see the moon up close and personal.
Please note the Nature Preserve will be closed to the public after dusk. To participate in the stargazing, take the shuttle bus from the designated stops at the Courtyard by Marriott or the CityPlace Plaza. The shuttle will be running from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Fun Fab Photo Booth
Want a keepsake to remember the night? Visit our Fun Fab Photo Booth, take a picture with your friends and family with our out of this world, lunar–themed props. The green screen can even have you walking on the moon! Pin the photo strip to your fridge or share on social with our hashtag #lunarstaycation!
Discovery Dome Planetarium
5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Moonwalkers (guests) can visit the stars with the Houston Museum of Natural Science inflatable Discovery Dome Planetarium.
Dusk to 10:30 p.m.
The celebration features a special movie night featuring curated shorts brought to you by Houston Cinema Arts Society and NASA.
